My name is Robert Kunnaway Turner. I'm a Native American of New Hampshire. I'm also part Scottish which in Native culture makes me Meti's (mix blood) of which I carry a card from the CMC. My walkbeside is Mohawk & Abenaki. Now me and my walkbeside go around to all local area schools to teach our culture. My walkbeside does a show and tell, and answers any questions that may be asked by the children. Me myself tell stories and I'm a flute maker and player so I play my flutes for them. It is good that our culture is taught, and that the people are finally asking who we are. We go to alot of area pow-wows where I play flutes.

Now I started this web page cause I needed a way to get my flutes out to the people, and also to tell all who we are and what do. I like to tell of my culture, and finally the people are listening.

My flutes I make are not fancy, but there not to be. The Native flute is a scared item to some of us. It is know as a courting or love flute. It is also a healing flute cause it brings good feelings to ones soul.

Now the teaching of my culture is cause in the schools there not taught that yes there are natives here in the new england area. There only told of the out west indians, and not of the ones right here in there on back yards. There is alot of culture in New England, and I think it needs to be told, so this is what I enjoy doing.

The store telling that I do is a hand down from granfather and so forth, and it is alot to do with our way of life and its also the way our children are brought up to see things the way they used to be back when.

So this is the biggest reason this web site came to be, and anyone who reads this I hope enjoys it as much as I like doing what I do cause it needs to get out there to everyone.
